Lawyer Bahar Bostan Akşehir
After completing her undergraduate education at Ankara University Faculty of Law, she completed her legal internship at the Ankara Bar Association and also graduated from Ankara University’s Banking and Research Institute English Program for Lawyers.
In 2010, she worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency. After leaving the agency in 2013, she established her own law office and practiced law for seven years, handling cases particularly in the fields of Human Rights Law, Labor Law, and Civil Law. During the same period, she completed her undergraduate education in the Department of Sociology at Anadolu University.
Between 2019 and 2020, she worked as a lawyer at the Legal Consultancy of Darüşşafaka Society, and from 2020 to 2024, she served as a consultant within the International Labour Organization’s Decent Work Support Project. She has been actively involved in the Bar Association’s Women’s Rights and Human Rights commissions and has also worked as a consultant and trainer at the Council of Europe and the International Labour Organization.
She has provided consultancy in many human rights projects carried out by civil society organizations and international institutions. She is currently continuing her graduate studies in the Department of Human Rights Law at Bilgi University.
