Emily Harwitt

With over 30 years of experience in business development and employment, Emily Harwitt implements projects aimed at fostering economic development and increasing employment in conflict-affected regions.

Throughout her career, she has managed internationally funded projects and contributed to economic growth by supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). For nearly a decade, she represented multilateral and bilateral donors in Brussels and Geneva, managed program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes, and provided capacity-building trainings.

Emily Harwitt has worked with and consulted for numerous international organizations including the World Bank Group, ILO, EFTA, European Commission, Swiss Development Agency, USAID, OSCE, UNECE, UNHCR, and the World Resources Institute. She specializes in education, facilitation, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and climate adaptation. She holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University and has earned numerous certifications in various fields. Through her roles in international organizations and her entrepreneurial background, she possesses extensive knowledge and a strategic perspective on business development, employment policy, and economic development. Her work aims to improve the lives of vulnerable communities and develop innovative solutions for sustainable development.
